Total ≈ (equipment × tier) + install labor + optional ducts/thermostat, × state. Band ≈ 85%–130%. Rebates are not subtracted.

A 3-ton high-efficiency same-pad replace with thermostat at U.S. average is about $5,800 × 1.22 ≈ $7,076 equipment + $2,800 labor + $350 thermostat ≈ $10,225.
