How to use this calculator
- Add each course, letter grade, and credit hours.
- College classes are often 3–4 credits.
- Read GPA = quality points ÷ credits.
- Use weighted GPA only if your school boosts honors (most colleges do not).
Results explained
Quality points = letter value × credits. This 4.0 map treats A and A+ as 4.0 unless you change nothing — some colleges cap A+ at 4.0 anyway.

How the estimate is built
GPA = Σ(letter points × credits) ÷ Σ credits.
Example scenario
A− (3 cr), B+ (4 cr) → (3.7×3 + 3.3×4) / 7 = 3.471.
