How the estimate is built

paid hours/day = ((end − start) − break) / 60, wrapping midnight.

Example scenario

9:00–17:30 minus 30 min break is 8.0 hours. Five days = 40 hours (no OT in the sketch).

FAQ

Does a 30-minute break always count?

Only if it’s unpaid. Paid breaks stay in worked time.

Daily OT?

Some states use daily OT. This sketch is weekly 40 only.

Multiple different shifts?

Run once per shift pattern and add.
