Need = area × (1 + waste%). Sheets = ceil(need ÷ sheet sq ft). OSB uses the same coverage math.

How the estimate is built
sheets = ceil(area × (1 + waste%) ÷ sheet_sq_ft).
Example scenario
320 sq ft, 4×8, 10% waste → 352 / 32 = 11 → 11 sheets.
