How to use this calculator

  1. Paste one day per line as clock-in and clock-out times.
  2. Set unpaid break minutes subtracted from each day with hours.
  3. Optional: enter an hourly rate to see gross pay.
  4. Read total hours and the per-day breakdown.

Results explained

Each row is elapsed time minus breaks. Overnight shifts work when end time is earlier than start (treated as next day). Employer rounding rules are not applied.

Quick reference: punch formats

Five 8-hour days with 30-minute unpaid lunches is 37.5 hours.

How the estimate is built

day_hours = (out − in, +24h if needed) − break_min/60; total = Σ day_hours; pay = total × rate.

Example scenario

Five lines of about 8 h with 30-min breaks → about 37.5 h.

FAQ

Does this calculate overtime?

No. It sums hours only. Apply your employer's weekly OT rules separately.

How do overnight shifts work?

If out is earlier than in on the clock, the page adds 24 hours before subtracting breaks.

Is gross pay after tax?

No. Rate × hours is pre-tax gross unless you typed a net rate yourself.
